Triax-Male to BNC-Female Adapter

Standard BNC-Female to 3-lug triaxial connector adapter, inner shield to BNC shell, will connect BNC coaxial cables to equipment using 3-lug triaxial connectors.

Triaxial inner shield is connected to the BNC shell. When used with instruments the input low or guard voltage will be present on the adapter case and on any BNC connectors. To prevent electric shock, do not float inner shield more than 30 volts above ground

Note: Triaxial (also known as triax) connectors are a variant on BNC which carry both a signal and guard as well as ground conductor. These are used in sensitive electronic measurement systems, particularly of Keithley. Early ones were designed with just an extra inner conductor, but later tri-axial connectors also include a three-lug arrangement to rule out an accidental forced mating with a BNC connector. Adapters exist to allow some interconnection possibilities between Triax and BNC connectors.
